About Me

SAM / 23 / SCOTLAND / HAIR OBSESSIVE

I love hair and experimenting with different colours. I have plenty of experience as I have been dying my hair myself at home since I was 13. I have also made plenty of mistakes along the way which I have learned from so I would like to share my thoughts and give advice to others.

Thought I would share some of these pictures of my recent hair adventures:

1. I dyed my hair pink again.  I had some Rusk Scream - Atomic Magenta left over from a few months back (see my pinky purpley! blog)  And decided to use it.  But I really don't like this brand of dye, it's really runny and stains the scalp.

2. Sock bun.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hfMlMhSACCE This was my first attempt, I've gotten a bit better !  I like this hair style, it's quite easy when you get the hang of it and is good to get all your hair out of your face

oh that's it! just 2 adventures...  x

pinky purpley!

on hairbomb.com they have a gallery full of pictures of lovely bright coloured hair!  (you should have a look they're so pretty - i could look at hair pics all day long!).  i came across this picture and fell in love with the colour

i must have this colour!!!! i hadn't seen any other dye like it so i decided to come up with my own concoction.  that's the great thing about these semi-permanent dyes its like being an artist and you can mix colours together to get the shade you want.  i used:
and this is the result i got........

i was very pleased! it turned out almost identical to the picture.  however, as it faded it was very bright pink which i didn't like too much.  and ended up going back to red after about 3 weeks!
